Statement for a Patient went to a different address than what is listed in the PM
Why the statement went to a different address
Most likely what has happened is that there is a forwarding address on file at USPS for the patient or the address has changed.
If MedEvolve processes your statements, we use a software called NeoPost, it uses the United States Post Service database to check all addresses for patients. If it can find a match based on name and previous address the software will automatically change the address on the statement before it is sent out. This is used to ensure that all addresses are most current based on with the USPS has on file.
If you send statements to Instamed to process they also have a software that functions this way and will also send the statements to a different address if this is what USPS has on file.
