How do you delete a transaction from a control?

Deleting a transaction from a control

In order to remove a transaction from a control, it must be in an open control. 

  • Open the posting application
  • Select the open control where the transaction is posted
    • To select a control type in the control number in control number field and hit Enter or 
    • Double click on the control in control section


  • Once selected all transactions posted in the control will display
  • Locate the Transaction that needs to be removed
  • Click on the box on the transaction line (this will place a check mark in this box on this line)

  • Click the (-) sign in the transaction navigation bar
  • A confirmation dialogue box will appear

  • Select Yes to remove the transaction
  • Select No in order to leave the transaction in the open control

Note: If the transaction was posted from Electronic Remittance screen by selecting process check or by processing the transaction out of the Posting Inbound Queue, users can no longer reset those transactions and if needing to be posted again will have to be manually posted.
