How do I add a resource to the Tables

Adding a Resource

Resource

To set up a new resource: Go to Tables-->Resource

Resources will include not only the physicians, but also any other entity that must be scehduled, ie: nurse, lab, equipment, surgery room, etc. or will perform services that require billing. Input ID numbers for Medicaid, Medicare, and Blude Sheild, Tax ID, etc. 

Code: Enter a code. If a resource exists with that code, it will bring in the rest of the information, if not, you may enter the information to add a new resource. 

Resource Type: Select from the list whether the Resource is a Person, Equipment, Lab, Room, or Other

  • If the Resource Type is a Person, enter the name, login ID, Address, Phone Numbers and any Notes you wish to add for this resource
  • Right click on the Signature area in order to choose 'Import Signature' if an electronic copy already exists of choose 'scan signature' to create one. You can also select scan signature button on bottom left of the form to scan in a signature for the system to use for this person. You will be asked to select a scanner from the ones which have been set up in View>Preferences>Documents and Imaging
  • You can select the Documents button at the bottom left of the form to view any documents that have been attached to this resource. 

Billing Allowed: Select this box if you want billing to be allowed for this resource. Please note that if you wish to bill for the provider they must first be set up within the clearing house.

Encounter Allowed: This was for clients when we offered EHR. We no longer offer an EHR and this is no longer used. 

Reset Password upon closing encounter: This was for EHR. We no longer offer an EHR and this is no longer used

Specialty: Enter this person's specialty here. Select from entries which have been set up in the Physician Specialty Table, which contains nationally standardized name and code for use by Envoy/NEIC Electronic Claims. 

Tax ID and Type: Enter the Tax ID and type of either EIN or SSN to be used for this resource on billing claims

DEA: Drug Enforcement Administration registration number in order to prescribe or dispense medications

MU Stage: Meaningful Use. This was used for EHR and we no longer offer EHR. No longer used. 

DoseSpot ID: ID used in Electronic eScribing solution that used to be offered. We no longer offer DoseSpot. 

Appointment Allowed: If this box is checked appointments will be allowed for this Resource

Resource Color: Pick a color to be assocaited with this Resource on the scheduler.
