Power Bi is an analytic tool designed by MedEvolve to allow practices to have real time insight into key metrics. It allows the end user to quickly diagnosis the health of the practice based on financial metrics.

Effective Intelligence reduces your dependence on labor and human intervention in the revenue cycle process and ensures that staff you have are working effectively and generating the expected revenue to increase your margin.
This report allows you to have insight so that you can turn that insight into action. You will be able to review who, where and what in your revenue cycle processes are not effective so you can make real time adjustments.
This report is divided into several tabs that will provide insight into the work being done, performance, effectiveness and trends.
- Effective Intelligence – This tab is going to give you the overview for the health of the work effort of your Revenue Cycle.
- Zero Touch Visits – This tab breaks down the components that make up our Zero Touch Visits %
- Work Effort Rate – This tab is showing you performance of the areas that make up the Work Effort Rate.
- Definitions – This tab will provide you definitions/calculations on how we come to the information we are displaying within this report
Effective Intelligence

This tab is showing you performance of your revenue cycle as a whole.
- Visit Count - the number of visits that are qualifying for the filters you choose on the report.
- Visit Resolution % - Percentage of visits assigned to a representative that were successfully resolved. [Visits that received an insurance payment within 60 days of the first action taken] / [Assigned Visits]
- Zero Touch Visits % - Percentage of total visits that required no touches. [Visits without an Edit, Denial, Refile, or AR Action] / [Total Visits]
- Collection Effectiveness % - Percentage of total visits that required no touches. [Realized Gross Collections on Assigned Visits] / [Expected Gross Collections on Assigned Visits]
- Exhausted Visits % - Percentage of Visits that have been touched 5 or more times. [Visits with 5 or more touches] / [Assigned Visits]
- At Risk AR % - Percentage of outstanding AR that needs special attention. [Open Balance Insurance Visits with a balance > $25, have had no Insurance Payment, and haven’t been touched in 90 days] / [Open Balance Insurance Visits]
- Work Effort Rate – Average touches it takes to receive a successful resolution [Actions Taken] / [Worked Visits]
Zero Touch Visits

This tab is showing you performance of the areas that make up the Effective Intelligence.
- Visit Count - the number of visits that are qualifying for the filters you choose on the report.
- Zero Touch Visits % - Percentage of total visits that required no touches. [Visits without an Edit, Denial, Refile, or AR Action] / [Total Visits]
- Edited Visits % - Percentage of total visits that hit an edit (unprocessables, invalid, reject) that required intervention to move on to the next step in processing the claim. [Visits with an edit] / [Total Visits]
- Refiled Visits % - Percentage of total visits that required the claim to be refiled with the payer. [Visits with a refile] / [Total Visits]
- Denied Visits % - Percentage of total visits that received a denied claim status or denial ANSI code form the payer. [Visits that received a denial] / [Total Visits]
- Action Visits % - Percentage of total visits that needed human interaction to work (activity/status/action code, note and follow up date) the claim in Workflow Tool. [Visits worked in Workflow] / [Total Visits]
- Task Visits % - Percentage of total visits that required a task for the human to be able to perform a meaningful action on an account in Workflow to get paid. [Tasks added to visit in Workflow] / [Total Visits]
Work Effort
This tab is showing you performance of the areas that make up the Work Effort Rate.
- Visit Count: The number of visits that are qualifying for the filters you choose on the report.
- Work Effort Edit Rate: Average touches it takes to receive a successful resolution on Edits [Edit Actions Taken] / [Worked Visits]
- Work Effort Refile Rate: Average touches it takes to receive a successful resolution on Refiles [ Refile Actions Taken] / [Worked Visits]
- Work Effort Denial Rate: Average touches it takes to receive a successful resolution on Denials [Denial Actions Taken] / [Worked Visits]
- Work Effort Action Rate: Average touches it takes to receive a successful resolution on WF Actions [WF Actions Taken] / [Worked Visits]
- Work Effort Task Rate: Average touches it takes to receive a successful resolution on Tasks [Tasks Actions Taken] / [Worked Visits]
Definitions
