Account Billing Table

Account Billing Table Information

This is used to determine when/if the patient will receive a statement.

Go to Tables-->Account--> Account Billing.

  • Code - To look up an account billing status click on italicized word code 
    • This code can be system generated or user can manually entered 
  • Description - The name entered for the status
    • This will display in account information and will automatically populate when the account category is chosen for the billing default attached to that account category 


  • Statement Type 
    • Balance Forward - Will send transaction details one time then will send balance forward
    • None - Will never receive a statement
    • Open Item - Will send details on every statement (itemized)
  •  New Transaction Billing Default 
    • Do not Bill - Will never transfer line item to "bill" status o
    • Bill - Will transfer line item to "bill" status as soon as the charge is posted
    • Bill After Primary Insurance - Will transfer the line item to "bill" status as soon as the primary insurance payment is posted
    • Bill After Secondary Insurance - Will transfer line item to "bill" status as soon as the secondary insurance payment is posted. 
    • Bill after Tertiary Insurance ? Will transfer line item to "bill" status as soon as the tertiary insurance payment is posted. Recommended to be selected for any balance needing to go to Patient Responsibility after insurance payments are posted.
